Hope everyone is doing well.  Lifeis kinda sucks for me.  Dad has to go into rehab in order to walk again (he pretty much lost the use of his legs).  Mom is about to go crazy and I am going with her.

As for other things:
  • Decided to participate in Novel Big Bang over at LJ.  I think that I may have an original story that will work!
  • I so cannot wait for May 4!  I'm going to be taking a three-day weekend and going to see The Avengers a couple of times.  Mom thinks I'm nuts but who cares!  Let's just say I'm ging to happy to see Loki ;)
  • Speaking of Loki, I've decided to write a Loki/OFC story that takes place post-Thor and pre-Avengers.  The OFC's name is Keira Jones, a budding archaeologist who is doing research for her master's degree.  Oh, and she is the granddaughter of Indiana Jones - I couldn't resist.
That's about it for now.  I'm thinking about going to make new friends on LJ and DW.  May be worth it.

I decided to research more into the comic-book universe of Thor and came across the character Sigyn.  I knew of Sigyn, of course, though not much.  So I did some research on her.  And I must say, I like her character and what she represents to those who believe in her.  I admire her dedication to her husband, no matter how stupid he can get.  And her Marvel comic version is interesting

So, I decided to bring Sigyn over to the movieverse.  It will be my version of her, of course, with some of her real world meaning to her.  But she is definitely going to be an OC (or OOC or whatever you want to call it).  I don't know how it's going to turn out, but some of you may be pestered a bit with questions ;)

It was made of win!

I got back from the movie theater about an hour ago and have been thinking about what to say about it.

All I can say is this...AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean - the special effects were wonderful, the plotline was good, and Loki was so cool.

Yeah, I found that I like Loki better than anyone else in the film.  I guess it's because of his smooth style (if you want to call it that).  He also is so damn determined to prove his worth that I felt connected to him (though I don't go to that much of an extreme).

Oh, the story possibilities.

Now, next up is Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Captain America:  The First Avenger.  This summer is going to be cool!

Going to see Thor

The movie.  Ever since it came out, I have been wanting to go see it.  The previews look awesome, and some people on my LJ friends list have given it rave reviews.  So, since I finally have day off, I'm going to go see it.  It's a 7pm showing, but it will be worth it.

In other news, I got my final grades back - 1 A and 4 B's with a GPA of 3.42.  That's pretty good - though my GPA went down 0.10 from last semester.  Oh, well.

Mom went back to work this week.  She's still getting back into the swing of things and get her energy back to do it.  But she's doing well.

Also, I made a decision to try to change my diet and get back into my yoga and walk more.  I'm doing this to try and change my lifestyle as well as being there for Mom since she is a borderline diabetic (dad's full-blown diabetic).  She had to change a lot, so I am going to try and do it along with her.  Besides, if I ever develop diabetes, I have a head start.

As fic news, I'm still going through my Tron obsession.  It's driving me nuts.  I got ideas coming out from everywhere.  Right now, I'm trying to consolidate them into something I can write.  I may have something in the next few days, so keep a look out.

And YAY!  CBS renewed CSI: NY for an eighth season.  I was so scared after watching the season finale this past Friday that that would be it.  I'm so happy it's coming back!

That's about it for now.  I'll let you all know what I think of the movie!
